Foil Process

The Foil class is for beginners and in it you will learn:

Safe handling and cutting of glass
Safe use of tools
Pattern selection, preparation & cutting
Copper foil construction
Soldering
Finishing

Upon completion you will be able to produce exciting projects such as sun catchers, hanging panels and small windows. This class will also prepare you for the lead came construction advanced class.

Lead Process

The Lead class is a continuation of what you learned in the foil class:

The safe handling of lead and use of tools associated with the lead fabrication process
How to prepare the lead for fabrication
How to prepare glass for building the pattern
The proper way to cement your finished product
The proper way to turn your larger project for soldering
The framing and cleaning of a finished panel
The proper way to provide support for larger projects

You will construct up to two lead panels using techniques learned in the class.
